Will a Product Launch Work for Physical Products?

I met a business owner who asked me whether my product launch techniques are only for information products delivered online or if they would work for a physical product.

The answer is that a product launch would indeed work very well for hard goods. Whatever type of “widget” you are selling, you can use product launch techniques to create anticipation and desire for the product.

Here’s one of my best tips. A clever way to create scarcity for a physical product that you sell all the time is to bundle it with a special product that is available only for a limited time. That let’s you create an event out of the marketing campaign. I like to create an information product (perhaps a set of “how-to” videos, for example) that compliments or enhances the widget you are selling.
